Prague 7 launches an anti-graffiti campaign to protect urban decorum<\/h3>\n

The Prague 7 municipal district<\/strong> has launched a new anti-graffiti campaign<\/strong> aimed at tackling urban vandalism and improving the appearance of building fa\u00e7ades across the neighborhood. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to protect public spaces and reduce the visual and social impact of illegal writings and drawings on buildings. According to the local administration, unauthorized graffiti negatively affects residents\u2019 quality of life and their sense of safety.<\/p>\n

Subsidies of up to 30,000 crowns for graffiti removal<\/h3>\n

At the core of the program is a system of financial subsidies designed to support the removal of graffiti from building fa\u00e7ades<\/strong>. The Prague 7 municipality will cover costs of up to 750 Czech crowns per square meter of treated surface<\/strong>, with a maximum annual cap of 30,000 crowns per applicant<\/strong>. Public funds may be used both for cleaning vandalized surfaces and for subsequent maintenance work.<\/p>\n

Who can apply and which buildings are eligible<\/h3>\n

The subsidies are available<\/strong><\/p>\n

        Application deadlines and submission process<\/h3>\n

        Applications<\/strong> for the anti-graffiti subsidy will be reviewed in two annual rounds<\/strong>. The deadlines set by the municipality<\/strong> are May 31<\/strong> and October 31, 2026<\/strong>. Applicants may submit multiple requests throughout the year<\/strong>, provided they do not exceed the maximum amount allowed. Each application will be assessed by the local authority to ensure effective and transparent use of public funds.<\/p>\n

        Safety and prevention: the municipality\u2019s strategy<\/h3>\n

        According to Prague 7 officials, the rapid removal of graffiti is one of the most effective ways to prevent further acts of vandalism.<\/strong> Mayor Jan \u010ci\u017einsk\u00fd (Praha Sob\u011b) emphasized that persistent graffiti tends to attract additional illegal activity.
