A prolonged slowdown in construction has pushed housing supply down, driving both property prices and rental costs up. And Prague is not alone. Across Europe, indeed, many cities once seen as budget-friendly are becoming increasingly expensive<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, a surprising shift is happening elsewhere. Some traditionally expensive global cities are now seeing property prices fall, opening new opportunities for investors and expats searching for the <\/span>best affordable cities in Europe for expats<\/b> and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n

Living in Warsaw: a temporary window of affordability<\/h3>\n

However, affordability remains a major issue. High property values, economic tensions with the U.S<\/strong>., and policies like the empty homes tax continue to limit access to the market.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even with declining prices, <\/span>living in Vancouver<\/b> still comes with a high <\/span>cost of living<\/b>, making it inaccessible for many buyers and renters.<\/span><\/p>\n

That said, some cities still stand out among the most affordable cities to live in Europe. According to estimates, Cities like Budapest<\/strong>, Brussels<\/strong>, and Athens<\/strong> continue to offer relatively accessible housing markets, making them appealing choices for anyone looking to balance cost of living<\/strong> and quality of life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
